Summary Btok + Dtok + TiFi AMA

On July 6th, the CEO of TiFI Samuel co-hosted an AMA with Btok and Dtok, two of the long term partners of TiFi in Btok official telegram group. In the AMA, Lulu, the Btok head marketing of Asia moderated the discussion. Barry, the CMO of Dtok discussed the new Web3 social media platform — Dtok. Samuel, the CEO of TiFi introduced the TiFi e-commerce ecosystem to the Btok community. Here we provide the summary of the AMA.

Can you introduce yourself and TiFi?

Samuel: TiFi is a blockchain start-up company located in Silicon Valley, USA. Its headquarter is located in Sunnyvale — Plug and Play Tech Center, the incubator of Google, PayPal, LendingClub, Honey etc. TiFi is committed to building a decentralized e-commerce platform, bringing Web3 to everyday life. I am a software engineer with 15 years of working experience in Silicon Valley. Before starting the venture, I worked as architect and tech lead in large companies such as Splunk and Oracle.

Can you introduce DTOK?

Barry: DTOK is a Twitter application focusing on web3 social scenarios, aiming to build a social portal to web3. We advocate optimizing the existing Twitter, gathering users, exploring product forms, and finally building a decentralized Twitter-like social application.

What are the characteristics of TiFi token? What are the applications?

Samuel: TiFi Token is based on Binance Smart Chain, the transaction fee is low, and holding TiFi token can automatically get the reflection reward and tokens are automatically burning with each transaction. TiFi Token is available for trading on PancakeSwap, TiFi Bank, Gate.io, Latoken, and Tapbit. You can also buy TiFi Token with bank cards such as Visa and MasterCard.

TiFi has been audited by CertiK’s top, and got AML anti-money laundering (AML) certification and CertiK 7 x 24 hour Skynet monitoring.

You can use TiFi Token to pay with TiFi on vending machines and card readers by scanning QR code with your wallet app. In the future, you can also use TiFi to purchase any items on the TiFi Allverse e-commerce platform.

What functions does DTOK currently have?

Barry: DTOK is just starting. Currently, we have introduced Twitter embedded function, optimized the network for users in China, and recommended some high-quality Kols in a targeted manner, so that users in China can browse web3 content freely. We also have access to a safe and convenient wallet and swap, which we will use to supplement Twitter’s payment scenarios in the future.

Can users automatically earn income by holding TiFi token? In what other ways can TiFi holders obtain benefits?

Samuel: Yes, TiFi investors can earn reflection rewards automatically just by holding TiFi Token. Meanwhile, TiFi Bank provides a variety of ways to obtain income:

Staking: 0.2% of the transaction volume will be the staking reward, plus the reflection rewards, there will also be BNB rewards for staking for more than 180 days, and staking will always be valid.

Lock-to-earn reward (fixed deposit): A fixed APY of return of up to 100% plus reflection rewards, open to users with more than 50 billion tokens.

Flexible deposit: 4% or more interest which is the reward to lenders in TiFi Bank crypto loan.

I heard that TiFi is developing the TiFi Allverse. What are the differences and advantages between TiFi e-commerce and other e-commerce platforms that support cryptocurrencies?

Samuel: TiFi Allverse is an innovation to enable e-commerce on-chain transactions. With TiFi Allverse, users don’t need to pay for intermediaries like payment gateway. Because the transactions are totally on-chain. Besides that, TiFi Allverse has the following benefits:

  • Decentralized solution to handle disputes.
  • Decentralized after-sales service, return and refund, support warranty
  • Decentralized Credibility Mechanism
  • Decentralized e-commerce standard for support cross platform transactions
  • Solving supply chain problems
  • Improve user loyalty

May I ask you to look forward to the future of Web3 and the development trend of blockchain technology?

Samuel: Technology is the future of blockchain. Just like Web 2, blockchain is not just financial innovation. GameFi and SocialFi are already on Web 3, and CommerceFi is the next and most important thing for people to live without Web 3. Web3 needs killer apps to attract more Web2 users to move to Web3.

Why did DTOK choose the path of centralized to decentralized products?

Barry: The core of social products is social relationships and social content, that is to say, users and user-generated content. Twitter is still the product with the highest market share among all Twitter-like products, and the user volume is still a hundred times that of some decentralized Twitter-like products, such as Mammoth. These users are Twitter’s biggest moat, and it is not realistic to use highly similar products to defeat Twitter. Therefore, we believe that the development of decentralized Twitter will take a long time, and there are still doubts about the difference between its social form and social content. We think that instead of building a ready-made product to screen people who like it, it is better to first find users and explore social forms in Twitter, and then build and optimize the product. Finally, under the guidance of the community, Dtok will grow into a decentralized social application that the community likes.

Closing notes from Btok

Btok’s strategic upgrade and ecological construction in the Web3 field is a response to the future development trend of Web3. As a blockchain social platform, Btok has launched a decentralized wallet aggregation transaction function, which can provide more secure, convenient and efficient digital asset management and trading tools, and can provide users with a better service experience. In the community scenario, decentralized wallet aggregation transactions will help improve the flexibility and autonomy of transactions, and can save costs and time for users.
